The reverse of the 2026 American Silver Eagle features the current bald eagle artwork. Designed by Emily Damstra in 2020 and introduced in mid-2021, this newer reverse shows the eagle coming in for a landing, wings bent in motion, carrying an oak branch in its talons.
Throughout its history, the American Silver Eagle has undergone several significant changes while maintaining its core specifications. In 2021, the United States Mint introduced a new reverse design featuring a more detailed eagle created by artist Emily Damstra, marking the first major design change in the coin’s 35-year history.
These 2026 1 oz American Silver Eagle Coins are available in plastic slabs with perfect MS70 grades. Coins in this condition showcase full, original mint luster and no visible detractions. First Day of Issue coins are those that are received for grading within 24 hours of release from the mint.
