The obverse of the 2026 Rwanda Silver African Ounce Spotted Hyena Coin depicts the Rwandan coat of arms. This intricate emblem includes several meaningful national symbols. At the center sits a traditional woven basket, flanked by branches of sorghum and coffee—two key agricultural products. Beneath the basket rests a cogwheel symbolizing industry, while a rising sun shines above. Traditional shields appear on either side, and the entire design is bound by a rope and knot, signifying unity among the people of Rwanda.
