The 2026 issue of American Gold Eagles celebrates the 40th anniversary of this longstanding gold bullion series. All four denominations in the Gold Eagle lineup were introduced in 1986, and over the past four decades, demand for the coins has shifted in response to broader economic and market trends. Today, 2026 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle Tubes are available at JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
Within the American Gold Eagle Series, the 1/10 oz coin remains one of the most frequently sought-after options. In periods of heightened gold prices, it has historically surpassed the 1 oz coin in popularity. While the 1 oz gold coin has four of the five highest single-year mintages recorded in the series, the 1/10 oz gold coin holds the record for the highest single-year issue. The 1999 1/10 oz Gold Eagle sold more than 2.75 million coins, a figure that was 1.25 million coins higher than the 1999 1 oz Gold Eagle.
All 2026 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle Tubes here come with a total of 50 coins. These 2026 1/10 oz Gold Eagles are housed in a protective acrylic tube and all coins arrive in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. Gold Eagles have a unique 22-karat composition, with 91.67% gold, 5.33% copper, and 3% silver.
The obverse design of the 2026 American Gold Eagle features Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ iconic depiction of Lady Liberty. First created in 1907, this artwork presents Liberty in full-length, forward-facing relief. She strides confidently toward the viewer, holding a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. The backdrop includes radiating sunrays, a ring of stars, and a view of the U.S. Capitol.
On the reverse side of the 2026 1/10 oz Gold Eagle Coin, the U.S. Mint continues with the modern bald eagle design introduced in 2021. Created by Jennie Norris in 2020, this profile shows the eagle’s head in left-facing relief, rendered with naturalistic detail that emphasizes the bird’s distinctive features.
