On the obverse of 2026 American Gold Eagles is Lady Liberty. Designed in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, this historic design shows Liberty’s full-length figure in front-facing relief. She walks toward the viewer with a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left hand. The background includes the U.S. Capitol Building, sunrays, and a ring of stars.

The reverse of the 2026 1/10 oz Gold Eagle Coin comes with the modern image of the American bald eagle. Introduced in 2021 during the 35th-anniversary celebration, this image from Jennie Norris shows the head of the bald eagle in left-profile relief.
