The United States Mint honored the 250th anniversary of the United States Army in 2025 with the release of another new Privy Silver Eagle. The 2025 Proof Army Privy Silver Eagle has a limited issue of only 100,000 coins and bears a unique US Army Privy on the obverse side of the coin. Today, 2025-W 1 oz Proof Army Privy American Silver Eagle Coins in certified condition are available at JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
The United States Army traces its origins to June 14, 1775, when the Continental Congress authorized the enlistment of soldiers to serve in the Continental Army during the American Revolution. George Washington was appointed as the first Commander-in-Chief, tasked with organizing and leading a ragtag collection of colonial militias and volunteers against the professional British Army.
All 2025-W 1 oz Proof Army Privy American Silver Eagle Coins are packaged in plastic slabs. The coins are near-perfect specimens with full, original mint luster and no more than two minor detractions. Examples of these flaws include only minuscule contact marks or hairlines located outside the primary focal points. DCAM stands for deep-cameo proof and indicates the presence of strong, frosted designs overlaying deeply-mirrored, clear fields. First Strike coins are those received for grading within 30 days of release by the mint.
On the obverse of 2025-W Proof Army Privy American Silver Eagles is Walking Liberty. Designed by Adolph A. Weinman, this left-profile relief shows Liberty’s full-length figure walking toward the sun. The US Army privy emblem is found in the lower-right field.
The reverse of the 2025-W 1 oz Proof Army Privy Silver Eagle Coin features the American bald eagle. Designed in 2020 by Emily Damstra, this visual shows an eagle descending through the air in left-profile relief with raised wings and an oak branch in its talons.
