The origins of the United States Navy date back to October 13, 1775, when the Continental Congress approved the formation of a naval force during the American Revolution. Made up initially of converted merchant ships, this early Continental Navy was created to disrupt British supply routes and challenge the Royal Navy’s control along the American coastline. Each 2025-S 1 oz Proof Navy Privy American Silver Eagle Coin offered here is in near-perfect condition. PR69 coins exhibit full, original mint luster with no more than two minor detractions. These flaws must be located outside the primary focal points and are limited in nature to minuscule contact marks or hairlines. DCAM stands for deep-cameo proof and refers to the strong, frosted designs against the deeply-mirrored, clear fields. The reverse of the 2025-S 1 oz Proof Navy Privy Silver Eagle Coin showcases the American bald eagle. Created in 2020 by Emily Damstra, this contemporary design captures the eagle in flight with its wings flexed and an oak branch clutched firmly in its talons.
