Two silver dollar icons returned in 2021 as the United States Mint reintroduced the Morgan and Peace Dollar designs. Their release marked 100 years since the final Morgan Dollar and the first Peace Dollar entered everyday circulation. The Mint has continued producing these silver bullion dollars, featuring the historic motifs that once defined American currency. Right now, 2025 Peace Silver Dollars in certified condition are available from JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
Each of the 2025 Peace Silver Dollars in this listing comes in perfect condition. Mint State 70 coins exhibit full, original mint luster and have no detracting flaws visible to the naked eye. First Strike coins are those received for certification within 30 days of release from the mint.
The exceptionally high mintages of early Peace Silver Dollars, particularly in 1922 and 1923, resulted from the legal requirement under the Pittman Act to replace the millions of Morgan dollars that had been melted for their silver content during World War I. Additionally, there was strong public and collector demand for the new peace-themed design, combined with the practical need to replenish the nation’s silver dollar inventory for general circulation.
The obverse side of the 2025 Peace Dollar presents a depiction of Liberty in profile. Her head is turned to the left, with hair styled in a bun and a few wisps moving beside her face. A radiant crown of light is placed atop her head.
On the reverse of the 2025 Peace Silver Dollar, the image shows an American bald eagle standing on a rock. Its wings are positioned at rest while it looks calmly toward the horizon. Rays of sunlight rise behind the eagle and extend into the surrounding field.
