In 2021, the United States Mint celebrated the return of the Morgan and Peace Dollar designs to mark a century since their key milestones—one’s final and the other’s first year of circulation. On the reverse of the 2025 Peace Dollar Coin, a bald eagle is perched in a tranquil pose atop a rock ledge. Its wings rest along its body as it gazes forward. Behind it, the sun rises over the horizon, projecting rays that fan out across the design.
The bald eagle design on the Peace Dollar depicts a bald eagle at rest, deliberately contrasting with the more aggressive eagle poses found on earlier U.S. coins. This peaceful eagle symbolized America’s transition from the wartime period to an era of peace, with the olive branch reinforcing the coin’s central theme of post-war tranquility.
These 2025 Peace Silver Dollars are in near-perfect condition. Coins with a Mint State 69 grade showcase full, original mint luster and have no more than two minor detractions. Examples of these flaws include only minuscule contact marks or hairlines that must be located outside the primary focal points. First Strike coins are those received for grading within 30 days of release from the mint.
