The year 2021 marked the return of two of the United States Mint’s most well-known silver dollar designs. That year, the Mint issued new versions of the Morgan Dollar and Peace Dollar to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the final Morgan Dollar and the inaugural Peace Dollar entering circulation. Today, the Mint continues to offer these updated silver bullion coins, each carrying the designs that once defined 20th-century American silver dollars. Now, 2025 Peace Silver Dollars in certified condition are available online at JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
On the obverse of the 2025 Peace Silver Dollar, collectors will find a profile portrait of Liberty looking to the left. Her hair is styled in a bun, and several strands appear to blow softly beside her cheek. A radiant crown sits atop her head, enhancing the peaceful expression.
The reverse of the 2025 Peace Dollar Coin shows the American bald eagle resting quietly on a stone ledge. With its wings relaxed at its side, the eagle looks off into the distance while the rising sun in the background sends its rays outward from the horizon.
In 1921, the Commission of Fine Arts organized a design competition specifically seeking a new silver dollar that would commemorate the peace following World War I. Italian-American sculptor Anthony de Francisci won this contest with his elegant design featuring Lady Liberty on the obverse and an eagle at rest on the reverse, both symbolizing the nation’s transition from war to peace.
These 2025 Peace Silver Dollars are in perfect condition. Mint State 70 coins showcase full, original mint luster and have no visible detractions. Advanced Release coins are those received for certification before the mint has released the coins for sale to the public.
