Since 1986, the United States Mint has released the Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) American Silver Eagle each year. For decades, the series had never included a BU version with a privy mark—until 2024. That year, the debut of the Star Privy brought a groundbreaking twist to the program. This milestone continues with the introduction of the 2025 Eagle Privy design. Right now, 2025 (P) 1 oz Eagle Privy American Silver Eagles in near-perfect condition are available at JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
Each 2025 (P) 1 oz Eagle Privy American Silver Eagles are graded Mint State 69, meaning they are in near-perfect condition with full original luster and only minor, minuscule imperfections. As Early Release specimens, they were submitted to NGC within 30 days of the U.S. Mint’s official release date.
This release is only the second in the American Silver Eagle series to feature a BU privy mark. As with the 2024 Star Privy, the 2025 edition has a total mintage of just 500,000 coins, making it one of the lowest-minted issues in the program’s multi-decade history. Its scarcity enhances its appeal to both collectors and investors.
The obverse of each 2025 (P) Eagle Privy American Silver Eagle features the iconic Walking Liberty, designed by Adolph A. Weinman. In the lower-right field, you’ll see the Eagle Privy mark—a symbol of power drawn from the United States’ Great Seal. Even more poignantly, the bald eagle’s successful recovery from near-extinction in the mid-20th century mirrors America’s own narrative of resilience and renewal.
On the reverse of 2025 (P) 1 oz Eagle Privy Silver Eagle Coins, the design element displays a contemporary vision of the bald eagle created by artist Emily Damstra in 2021. This left-facing eagle is poised in mid-descent, its wings arching upward and its talons reaching out to grasp an oak branch—a symbol of strength and endurance.
