This relaunch aligned with the 100th anniversary of both the final Morgan Dollar and the first Peace Dollar, each originally issued in 1921. Throughout American coining history, the heraldic eagle’s design has evolved significantly over more than two centuries, reflecting changes in artistic styles, engraving techniques, and national aesthetics. Early eagle designs were often more naturalistic and detailed, while later versions became increasingly stylized and simplified for practical minting considerations. The eagle’s pose, wing position, and accompanying elements like shields, ribbons, and stars have been modified numerous times.

All 2025 Morgan Silver Dollar Coins available here are packaged in slabs to protect their perfect condition. MS70 coins have full, original mint luster with no visible detracting flaws. First Strike coins are specimens received by the PCGS for certification within 30 days of release from the mint.

The 2025 Morgan Dollar Coin showcases Liberty as envisioned by George T. Morgan. This obverse portrait shows her in a left-profile pose, wearing a Phrygian cap with her hair flowing beneath it. A laurel wreath and coronet complete her appearance, and 13 stars are also included in the design.

Morgan’s heraldic eagle design is featured on the reverse of the 2025 Morgan Silver Dollar. A front-facing bald eagle is shown with its wings spread. In its talons, it holds an olive branch symbolizing peace and a group of arrows representing readiness for war.
