The 5 oz weight was introduced in 2012, and since then, its highest mintage year was 2014 with 4,535 coins produced. Conversely, its lowest recorded mintage came in 2018 with only 1,401 coins sold.
The Armenian Apostolic Church has particularly strong ties to the Ark narrative, with numerous monasteries and churches throughout Armenia featuring architectural and artistic references to Noah's story.
