Prior to the unification of Germanic people in the 19th century, Germania served as a rallying figure across the fragmented German states and tribes. Her figure bridged regional, religious, and tribal divides. Poets and artists portrayed her both as a nurturing mother and as a formidable protector of German lands and traditions. This dual nature—gentle yet powerful, peaceful yet ready for battle—mirrored the way Germans perceived their national character.
All 2025 2 oz Germania Silver Rounds are individually packaged in an acrylic capsule and come with a Certificate of Authenticity from the Germania Mint. With larger weights in this series, the design expands to reveal more of Germania’s surroundings. In particular, the 2 oz, 10 oz, and 1 Kilo rounds depict emissaries of Odin on the rocks behind Germania. These emissaries take the form of black ravens.
On the obverse of the 2025 Germania Silver Round, Germania stands in front-facing relief. She holds a wooden shield with a double-headed eagle in her left hand and grips a sword in her right. Now crowned, she has completed her journey to claim her role as the Germanic Queen. The black ravens accompanying Germania represent guardians of secrets and are symbols of wisdom.
The reverse of the 2025 2 oz Germania Silver Round displays the bicephalous eagle. This ancient emblem represents a dual perspective—acknowledging the past while looking to the future. The eagle clutches lightning bolts in its talons and is framed by olive branches.
