Since 1987, The Royal Mint has expanded the Britannia Series to include silver coins (1997) and platinum coins (2018). All coins feature an effigy of the reigning British monarch on the obverse and Britannia on the reverse.

To produce MintSealed Singles, we carefully extract coins from their original mint tubes and place them into protective cases. On the obverse of 2025 British Gold Britannias is an effigy of His Majesty King Charles III. This design was created for The Royal Mint in 2022 by Martin Jennings and debuted in 2023. His Majesty is shown in left-profile relief without a crown on his head.
The reverse side of 2025 1 oz Gold Britannia Coins comes with Philip Nathan’s 1987 depiction of Britannia. This modern rendition of the female allegory casts Britannia as a defender of Britain.
