The Somali seal consists of a crowned shield with a field of horizontal lines in the background of the shield and a single star at its center. The shield is supported on either side by a leopard, with palm fronds and spears crossing beneath.
The reverse of 2025 1/50 oz Gold Elephant Coins features a new design for this release. The image of the African bush elephant captures the creature marching across the savanna with a small patch of brush next to it, a lone tree in the distance, and the sun rising overhead.
