This left-profile bust of Charles III shows the monarch without a crown on his head and was designed for Perth Mint by Dan Thorne. Charles III becomes the first monarch other than Elizabeth II to grace these coins.
A coiled snake design by Sean Rogers is found on the reverse of 2025 Australian Gold Lunar Snake Coins. This design shows a lone snake amidst several bamboo shoots with foliage hanging overhead. The snake has coiled its body around several of the bamboo shoots in this design element.
Throughout history, the interpretation of Snake years in the Zodiac has varied. In some periods, they were seen as years of great potential for personal and spiritual growth. In others, they were viewed with caution, as times when hidden dangers might lurk beneath the surface.
