On the obverse of 2025 American Gold Eagles, you’ll find the classic image of Lady Liberty. Designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907, this iconic image captures Lady Liberty walking confidently, with sun rays in the background and the U.S. Capitol at her feet.
The reverse of this 2025 1 oz Gold Eagle Coin features the American bald eagle, recently redesigned by Jennie Norris in 2020. This depiction, which first appeared in mid-2021, shows the eagle’s head in left-profile relief.
