The United States Mint offers its BU Gold Eagle in four weights each year, with a 1 oz gold coin and three fractional-ounce gold coins. The smallest coin in the series is the 1/10 oz gold coin, the specimen that boasts the highest mintage recorded in the collection in a single year. Today, 2025 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle Coins are available online at JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
Over time, the US Mint has issued the 1/10 oz Gold Eagle in three versions. The 1/10 oz BU Gold Eagle has been available on an annual basis since its debut in 1986. The 1/10 oz Proof Gold Eagle debuted in 1988 and has been issued each year since that time, except 2009. The 1/10 oz Burnished Gold Eagle was short-lived as it was available only from 2006 to 2008.
All 2025 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle Coins available in this listing come in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The coins are offered individually in plastic flips or by multiples of 50 in protective tubes. The highest mintage recorded for this weight in the series came in 1999 when 2,750,338 coins were sold.
On the obverse of 2025 American Gold Eagles, you will find the historic 1907 depiction of Lady Liberty. Created for the $20 Double Eagle by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, the image shows Liberty’s full-length figure in front-facing relief with a torch held up in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. The background field includes sunrays, a ring of stars, and the U.S. Capitol Building.
The reverse side of the 2025 1/10 oz Gold Eagle Coin comes with an image of the American bald eagle. This design replaced the original reverse design in July 2021 and shows the head of the bald eagle in left-profile relief. This redesign was completed by Jennie Norris and debuted during the 35th-anniversary celebration of the series.
