In 1905, President Theodore Roosevelt launched an initiative to modernize American currency across the board. The first man he tapped to help in this endeavor was Augustus Saint-Gaudens, who would eventually create two different images of Liberty for the $10 Eagle and $20 Double Eagle. His $20 Double Eagle design lives on today on the obverse of modern Gold Eagles.
All of these 2024-W 1 oz Proof American Gold Eagle Coins come with capsules. The coin and capsule are housed in a US Mint presentation box and delivered with a themed shipper from the mint. Each coin comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
