Each 2024-W 1 oz Burnished American Gold Eagle Coin is available in individual boxes. The coins are housed in capsules and set within a black presentation box. The presentation box is housed in a Gold Eagle-themed shipper from the United States Mint and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Burnished Gold Eagles were introduced by the United States Mint in 2006. Originally offered with three fractional-ounce weights, the Burnished Gold Eagle has been available only in 1 oz gold as of the 2011 issue of the coins. Burnished Gold Eagles feature matte visuals throughout and are struck in low numbers each year.
The obverse of 2024-W Burnished American Gold Eagles features the effigy of Lady Liberty created in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. This design shows Liberty’s full-length figure in front-facing relief. She walks toward the viewer with a torch held high in her left hand and an olive branch in her outstretched left hand.
On the reverse side of the 2024-W 1 oz Burnished Gold Eagle Coin is a modern image of the American bald eagle. Introduced in 2021 and designed by Jennie Norris, this design features the head of the American bald eagle in left-profile relief as it gazes off into the distance. There is a great level of detail in the plumage of the bird in this modern rendition of the majestic eagle.
