The American Gold Eagle is one of the most popular gold coins on the market. The popular series includes coins in three unique versions, BU, proof, and burnished. Now, you can own the smallest size in the proof series. The 2024-W 1/10 oz Proof American Gold Eagle Coin is available now, at JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
The American Gold Eagle debuted in 1986 with 4 BU versions as well as a 1 oz proof strike. The proof Gold Eagle series expanded to include a 1/2 oz version the following year, with a 1/4 oz and a 1/10 oz version being released in 1988. All 4 proof weights have been released annually since then, with the exception of 2009 due to economic uncertainty.
Each 2024-W 1/10 oz Proof American Gold Eagle Coin will arrive in a display box from the US Mint. Also included is a Certificate of Authenticity. Notably, the “W” mint mark on the obverse indicates that these proof strikes were created at the West Point Mint.
The obverse side of the 2024-W Proof American Gold Eagle Coin showcases the iconic Lady Liberty design by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. This design was originally created in 1907 and features Liberty walking toward the viewer holding a torch and an olive branch.
The reverse side of the 2024-W 1/10 oz Proof Gold Eagle Coin features an American bald eagle. This new design from Jennie Norris shows the bald eagle in left-profile relief as identifying marks of the coin surround the image.
