The United States Mint first revived the Peace Silver Dollar in 2021 to honor the 100th anniversary of the series. After pausing the program in 2022, the Mint continued the release in 2023 and again in 2024. Featuring Anthony de Francisci’s original artwork, this modern issue reflects one of the Mint’s most significant historic designs. Today, 2024 Peace Silver Dollar Coins are available at JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
Peace Silver Dollars were originally produced between 1921 and 1935, except during the years 1929 through 1933. Authorized under the Pittman Act of 1918, the design was created to symbolize peace in the aftermath of World War I. The U.S. Mint resumed striking these coins in 2021 to commemorate the series’ centennial.
All 2024 Peace Silver Dollar Coins in this listing are packaged with protective plastic capsules. This listing offers either a BU version of the 2024 Peace Dollar or a Proof version of the coin. The obverse of the 2024 Peace Dollar Coin shows Lady Liberty in left-profile relief with a radiant crown atop her head. Her free-flowing hair and standard inscriptions complete the design.
On the reverse of 2024 Peace Silver Dollars, a bald eagle is depicted resting on a rock ledge. The eagle is shown in right-profile relief with the rising Sun shining from below. Inscriptions of denomination and national identity surround the design.
