The reverse side of the 2024 Silver Dollar Coin showcases an eagle designed by Anthony de Francisci. The eagle is shown in right-profile relief perched on a rock cliff. The Sun can be seen rising from the bottom right as identifying marks of the coin surround the design.
This 2024 Peace Silver Dollar Coin will arrive inside an NGC protective plastic slab. Each coin in this listing was graded as Mint State 70 which indicates a coin with its full, original, mint luster with no detractions, even under 5x magnification. Furthermore, these coins are designated as Advanced Release specimens, which indicates that the coin was received by the NGC before they were made available to the public.
The US Mint created a contest to determine the new design of the Silver Dollar after the Morgan Silver Dollar. Anthony de Francisci, the youngest and least experienced of the bunch, won the contest and the $1,500 prize.
