The Morgan Silver Dollar is remembered as the most popular design in the history of US silver dollars. Introduced in 1878, the coins were struck annually through 1904 and issued one final time in 1921. The US Mint revived the Morgan Dollar as a bullion specimen in 2021 in honor of the centennial of its final issue back in 1921. The Morgan Dollar was the second silver dollar design to see widespread use in the United States. The first-ever silver dollar was issued in 1804, but cancelled in 1806 by President Thomas Jefferson due to Americans hoarding the coins. The Seated Liberty Dollar was struck from 1840 to 1873, and replaced by the Morgan. The final silver dollar was the Peace Dollar that was issued from 1921-1928 and again in 1934 and 1935. Though the Seated Liberty Dollar was struck in five more years than the Morgan, the volume of Morgans struck over time was much greater.

First Strike coins are those the PCGS receives for certification within 30 days of release to the public by the US Mint.

On the obverse of 2024 Morgan Dollar Coins is a left-profile bust of Lady Liberty. Designed by George T. Morgan, it depicts Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap, coronet crown, and a laurel wreath. The field includes a ring of 13 stars around the bust of Liberty.

The reverse of 2024 Morgan Silver Dollars features the heraldic eagle of the United States. Also designed by Morgan, this image of the heraldic eagle features an American bald eagle in front-facing relief with widespread wings. The talons of the eagle clutch the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace.
