One of the more notable aspects of the British Britannia Series is the inclusion of security elements on the reverse of its gold and silver coins. In place for several years now, these security elements consist of four features added to the reverse field of the coin. These include:
The 2024 British Britannia comes with 1 oz silver, 1/10 oz silver, 1 oz gold, 1/2 oz gold, 1/4 oz gold, and 1/10 oz gold as the primary options. Platinum coins will also be available in 2024. In 2024, the British Britannia sees its first full release of the coins with His Majesty King Charles III on the obverse. The 2023 release featured Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse of the coins for a limited period of time early in the year before switching to the new bust of Charles III created by Martin Jennings. In 2024, Charles III is the only monarch that will appear on the coins. The reverse maintains the use of Philip Nathan’s iconic modern image of Britannia.
