The Star Privy was the lowest-minted BU Silver Eagle in US Mint history and marked the start of a new initiative at the mint to introduce privy mark American Silver Eagles. The 2024 Star Privy Silver Eagle was the first BU Silver Eagle issued by the US Mint featuring a privy mark. In this case, the privy is a simple five-pointed star on the obverse, issued in collaboration with Nice Gang, a mobile gaming company. The 2025 Eagle Privy Silver Eagle is the second in a continuing program of privy marks on US Mint Silver Eagles.
The obverse of each American Silver Eagle features the iconic Walking Liberty design. Created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman, it depicts Liberty in left-profile relief as she walks toward the sun with the American flag draped around her figure. The 2024 Star Privy includes the star privy mark in the lower right, while the 2025 Eagle Privy features its eagle privy in the lower right.
On the reverse of 2024/2025 Star and Eagle Privy Silver Eagles, you’ll find Emily Damstra’s depiction of the American bald eagle. This image depicts an eagle in flight as it descends through the air with raised wings and extended talons clutching a large oak branch.
