Sensation Comics #1 was published in January 1942 by All-American Publications, a precursor to DC Comics. This issue marked Wonder Woman’s first appearance in a comic book, though she had been previously introduced in a brief preview in All Star Comics #8 (October 1941). More notable, this was the first appearance of Wonder Woman on a comic cover.
