In the obverse design of the 2024 1 oz Colorized Christmas Silver Eagle Coin, you’ll find an effigy of Walking Liberty. Adolph A. Weinman’s classic 1916 design has been enhanced in this design with colorized visuals for Liberty’s dress and the American flag. She walks in front of a snowy town at Christmas with a wreath of holly below and boughs of holly in her arms.
For the reverse side of 2024 Colorized Christmas American Silver Eagles, the enhancements bring a touch of Christmas to the American bald eagle. Here, the eagle carries a branch of holly with a wreath of holly overhead. The bald eagle is shown flying over the same town during Christmas that features on the obverse.
The American Silver Eagle has been available since 1986, but the United States Mint has never directly issued a colorized or gilded version of the coin. This special edition from the Germania Mint includes the aforementioned colorization on both sides of the coin, as well as an application of 24-karat gold to both sides.
These 2024 1 oz Colorized Christmas American Silver Eagle Coins are individually packaged in Quadrum capsules for protection. The coin and capsule arrive with an outer sleeve that features the same Christmas design themes from the coin.
