The obverse of 2024 Proof British Gold Britannias comes with a depiction of King Charles III. His Majesty is shown here in left-profile relief with no crown on his head. The design was created for The Royal Mint in 2022 by Martin Jennings.

On the reverse side of the 2024 1/40 oz Proof Gold Britannia Coin is a modern rendition of Britannia. This left-profile bust of Britannia showcases her classic Corinthian helmet. The bottom of the helmet swoops downward to blend into the oncoming wave headed toward Britannia.
