These coins were struck annually from 1991 to 1994, again in 2000, and every year since 2002. Since 2002, every year has seen all 5 weights issued, except for 2012.
The obverse of this 2024 Mexican Gold Libertad Coin features the Mexican coat of arms. This emblem features a golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus. A rattlesnake is seen dangling in its talons and beak.
The reverse side of the 2024 1/4 oz Mexican Libertad Coin showcases the iconic depiction of Winged Victory. In this rendition, Victory is seen in a three-quarter side profile, as two mountains are seen behind her. In her hands are broken chains and a crown.
Each 2024 1/4 oz Mexican Gold Libertad Coin will be delivered inside a protective plastic flip in order to preserve each coin’s BU condition. These coins, unlike most other gold coins, have no face value. However, their metal content and purity are fully backed by Banco de Mexico.
