King Edward III of England introduced the historic English Noble between 1344 and 1346 with a sailing vessel on the reverse and an effigy of himself on the obverse. The modern Isle of Man Coins feature a Viking longship in honor of the island’s historic ties to the Kingdom of Norway under King Magnus III and King Magnus VI.
Your 2024 1/2 oz Isle of Man Gold Noble Coin is individually packaged in a protective plastic flip. The 1/2 oz weight represents the largest fractional coin in the series. Other weights include 1 oz gold, 1/4 oz gold, and 1/2 Gram gold.
The obverse of the 2024 Isle of Man Gold Noble features an effigy of His Majesty King Charles III. His Majesty ascended the throne of England in September 2022 and this is the first-generation portrait of the King to grace coinage across the realm.
