Mexican Silver Libertads are available each year in one of eight options for investors. The BU Silver Libertad comes in weights of 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz, 1/20 oz, 2 oz, 5 oz, and 1 Kilo silver. These coins were not all introduced at the same time. In fact, the Mexican Mint introduced these coins in four stages from the 1982 debut to the latest addition in 2008. Now, 2024 1/10 oz Mexican Silver Libertad Coins are available online from JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
- Coin arrives inside an individual plastic flip!
- 34th date in the 1/10 oz Silver Libertad Series!

- On the obverse is the Mexican coat of arms.
- The reverse features the image of Winged Victory.
On the obverse of the 2024 1/10 oz Silver Libertad Coin, the mint features the coat of arms of Mexico. The fractional-ounce coins are unique in the series in that the smaller format does not allow for the inclusion of the 10 historic versions of the coat of arms. Here, you’ll find only the modern coat of arms with the eagle and snake on the prickly pear cactus surrounded by a wreath of oak and laurel.
The reverse side of the 2024 Mexican Silver Libertad Coin comes with a depiction of the statue of Winged Victory. Based on the goddess of victory, known as both Nike and Victoria in the ancient world, this statue was constructed in 1910 and placed atop the Mexican Independence Victory Column in Mexico City in 1921 as the nation celebrated its centennial.
Mexican Libertad Coins are available in the aforementioned eight weights in silver, but they were introduced in four different waves. The 1982 debut of the series featured only a 1 oz silver coin. The second wave of growth came in 1991 with the introduction of fractional-ounce silver, and was quickly followed in 1996 by 2 oz and 5 oz silver. The fourth and final wave came in 2008 with the debut of a 1 kilo coin.
These 2024 1/10 oz Mexican Silver Libertad Coins are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and will ship in a protective plastic flip. The 1/10 oz Silver Libertad holds the highest mintage in the program’s history for any of the seven coins aside from the 1 oz silver option. The 1992 release had a mintage of 299,933 coins. More recently, the 2023 release showed expansive growth, jumping from 4,850 coins in 2022 to 47,800.
