The obverse of the coins in 2023 Silver Elephant First Struck 7-Coin Collections contains the Somalia coat of arms. Adopted in 1956, this official seal features cheetahs holding up a shield decorated with the flag of Somalia. Below the shield, there are two crossed spears, palm leaves, and a draped ribbon. There are also inscriptions of the coin’s face value, issuing country, and year of release.
On the reverse side of coins in the 2023 Somalia Silver Elephant First Struck Collections there is a bush elephant design. This all-new design for the 2023 release features the bush elephant facing right and in closeup. Its trunk is wrapped around a branch as it pulls off leaves for consumption. Off in the distance, there is a scenic view of the African savanna.
