Morgan Silver Dollar Coins were issued by the United States Mint at a total of five branch mints over the course of its history. The Philadelphia Mint and San Francisco Mint were the most consistent in issuing the coins, striking Morgan Dollars annually from 1878 to 1904 and again in 1921.

On the obverse of the 2023 Morgan Dollar Coin, you will find George T. Morgan’s depiction of Lady Liberty. Here, the bust of Liberty is featured in left-profile relief with a Phrygian cap on her head. The design includes a coronet crown and laurel wreath on the head of Liberty.

The reverse side of 2023 Morgan Silver Dollars includes another design from George T. Morgan. In this design, the bald eagle is shown in front-facing relief with spread wings. The eagle does not come with the US national shield, but it does clutch the arrows of war and the olive branch of peace.
