Perth Mint’s Lunar Series III program is the continuation of a collection that started in 1996. The Lunar Series I program ran from 1996 to 2007, with expansion coming in the next series, Lunar Series II. This follow-up program ran from 2008 to 2019 and would lead to yet another popular series.
In 2020, Lunar Series III debuted. This continuation of Perth Mint’s lunar-themed design brought along all of the popular BU and Proof options in the series, while also introducing the first platinum bullion coin in the collection.
Obverse design elements on 2023 5 oz Silver Lunar Rabbit Coins depict Queen Elizabeth II. In this right-profile relief, Her Majesty is shown wearing the George IV State Diadem crown. This portrait of Queen Elizabeth II captures the Queen at the age of 89 and was created in 2015 by Jody Clark.
Reverse visuals on the 2023 Australian Silver Lunar Rabbit Coin include a depiction of two small rabbits. In this artwork from Ing Ing Jong, one of the rabbits is shown seated and alert as the other stands on its hind legs curiously sniffing the branch above the head of the pair.
These 2023 5 oz Australian Silver Lunar Rabbit Coins are available to you with plastic capsules and come in Brilliant Uncirculated condition from the mint.
