Though not an official symbol, the Deuce Four Skull has become quite popular among members of the U.S. Armed Forces in recent decades. While the modern symbol has ties to Marvel comics, versions of it can be traced all the way back to the American Revolution. Struck at Intaglio Mint, these rounds feature a stylized skull design across a .999 pure silver canvas. 2023 1 oz Deuce Four Skull Silver Rounds are now available to purchase online from JM Bullion.

For the obverse of 2023 1 oz Deuce Four Skull Silver Rounds, you will see the Deuce Four Skull. On the skull’s forehead, there is a ring of stars and the Roman numeral III. This imagery references the original colonies and the claim that only three percent of the population took up arms against the British during the revolution. Also on the obverse is the date 1776 and a coiled rattlesnake design.
The reverse of 2023 1 oz Deuce Four Skull Silver Rounds contains the Intaglio Mint logo. This design consists of the letter I structured like a traditional Roman column. There is also a stylized backdrop and inscriptions reading Intaglio Mint, Est. 2010, One Troy Ounce, 2023, .999 Fine Silver.
The Deuce Four Skull symbol is associated with the Punisher comic books and has also prominently been used by soldiers in the United States’ 24th Infantry Regiment. This unit was active between 1889 and 1951. The unit was then re-established in the mid-1990s and notably served in Iraq between 2004 and 2005. Photographic evidence can be found of these soldiers using the Deuce Four Skull insignia as an unofficial symbol during combat.
