The obverse of 2023 1 oz Deuce Four Skull Rounds features the iconic Deuce Four Skull symbol. This image consists of a stylized skull in a close-up, front-facing position. On the forehead of the skull, you will find the Roman numeral III in reference to the claim that only 3% of the population fought in the American Revolution. Surrounding this are 13 stars to represent the original colonies that fought against the British. Surrounding this imagery are headstamps of various rifle calibers as well as the words We Are Everywhere, Expect Us.
On the reverse of these 1 oz Deuce Four Skull Silver Rounds, you will find the Intaglio Mint logo and the round’s identifying hallmarks. The logo consists of a Roman column shaped like an I and an inscription reading Intaglio Mint Est. 2010. Across the border of the field, you will find hallmark inscriptions reading 2023, One Troy Ounce, .999 Fine Silver.
Fans of Marvel’s The Punisher will be quite familiar with the Deuce Four Skull design. The character Frank Castle was a war veteran who became a vigilante and used the symbol of a skull for his costume. Today, members of the military enjoy using this symbol during combat as well. It can be found on the tactical gear of soldiers and also appears on tattoos and patches worn by army members and Navy SEALs.
