The Canadian Silver Maple Leaf is arguably one of the world’s best-selling silver coins. Available from the Royal Canadian Mint since 1988, the series offers the same designs each year and will head in a new direction at some point in 2023 as King Charles III ascends the throne in England and begins to appear on coinage around the world. However, 2023 starts with one final depiction of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II on Silver Maple Leafs. Today, 2023 1 oz Canadian Silver Maple Leaf MintSealed Coins are available to you online at JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
With the Queen’s passing in September 2022, her son Charles ascended the throne as King Charles III of England. While his reign is already underway, so too is the production of 2023-dated products across the Commonwealth with effigies of Queen Elizabeth II. The Royal Canadian Mint starts its 2023 Maple Leaf Series with Her Majesty’s effigy for a limited time before the switch to a new King Charles III portrait.
All of these 2023 1 oz Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Coins are individually sealed in MintSealed clamshell cards from JM Bullion. The coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and have been sealed in plastic before being enclosed in the MintSealed card.
The JM Bullion MintSealed process begins with Silver Maple Leafs in Royal Canadian Mint Monster Boxes. Our warehouse team inspects the individual tubes inside the Monster Box to find the coins in the best condition. We then seal those coins in plastic to offer inside our MintSealed cards.
On the obverse of 2023 Canadian Silver Maple Leaf Coins, you will find the 2003 effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here in right-profile relief in the only portrait of her reign to lack a crown.
The reverse side of 2023 1 oz Silver Maple Leaf Coins comes with Walter Ott’s iconic sugar maple leaf design. This design was created in 1979 for the gold bullion series and is featured on all coins in the series.
