Throughout the program’s history, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was the only figure to feature on the obverse. Each 2023 1/4 oz British Gold Britannia Coin offered here comes in near-perfect condition. Mint State 69 coins exhibit full, original mint luster and feature no more than two minor flaws. These detractions are limited in nature to minuscule contact marks or hairlines. The NGC certifies these coins are among the last 500 coins struck in 2023 with Elizabeth II on the obverse.

On the reverse side of 2023 1/4 oz Gold Britannia Coin, you will find Philip Nathan’s image of Britannia. This design from 1987 shows Britannia’s full-length figure with a trident in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. Britannia wears a Corinthian helmet on her head and rests her left hand on a Union Jack shield.
