Armenian Silver Noah’s Ark Coins debuted in 2011 with three weights available. The series is issued on behalf of the Republic of Armenia by the German-based Geiger Edelmetalle refinery. Following the 2011 debut, four additional silver coins were introduced in 2012 and four gold coins in 2020.
Obverse design elements on 2023 Armenian Silver Noah’s Ark Coins include the national coat of arms. The design includes a quartered shield with heraldic lions and eagles filling the quadrants. Noah’s Ark rests atop Mount Ararat in the crest at the center of the shield and the broader design is supported by a larger heraldic lion and heraldic eagle.
Reverse visuals on 2023 1/4 oz Silver Noah’s Ark Coins include a view of Noah’s Ark. The famous vessel from the Bible is shown floating atop the flood waters as the sun rises over the peak of Mount Ararat in the background field. A dove flies into the foreground with an olive branch as well.
