The coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and have the highest mintage of any coin in the series with a mintage cap. The 200,000 coins allowed in the 1/10 oz weight surpasses the 150,000 for the 1/4 oz and 100,000 for the 1/2 oz coins.
2023 marks the final time the Perth Mint will issue Australian Gold Kangaroos with a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty’s final appearance includes a commemorative dual date to honor her reign as Queen of England and the Commonwealth Nations.

On the reverse side of 2023 1/4 oz Gold Kangaroo Coins, you will find a depiction of a kangaroo. Designed by Ing Ing Jong, one of Perth Mint’s most prolific artists, this image shows a seated kangaroo looking back over its shoulder toward a eucalyptus tree on the horizon, as well as other shrubberies.
