Throughout the history of the American Gold Eagle Series, the 1/10 oz gold coin has notched several years in which it had the highest mintage of any of the four coins. Additionally, the highest mintage figure ever recorded in the series came in the 1999 when the 1/10 oz gold coin saw sales of more than 2.7 million units in this weight alone.

On the obverse of 2023 American Gold Eagle Coins, you will find an image of Liberty. Designed in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, this visual shows Liberty in front-facing relief with a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left. Surrounded by a ring of stars, Liberty is featured alongside the U.S. Capitol Building as sun rays silhouette her figure.
The reverse side of the 2023 1/10 oz Gold Eagle features a modernized depiction of the bald eagle. The new visual in this series shows the head of the bald eagle in left-profile relief with incredible detail in the physical features of the bird.
