Coin Highlights:
American Gold Eagles come in four weights and three versions. The series started in 1986 with 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz gold coins in the BU series, as well as a 1 oz gold coin in the Proof Series.
From there, the US Mint introduced the 1/2 oz Proof in 1987 and the 1/4 oz and 1/10 oz Proofs in 1988. In 2006, the Burnished coin debuted and originally offered all four of these weights. However, as of 2011, it has only the 1 oz gold option.
The obverse side of the 2023 1/10 oz Gold Eagle comes with a depiction of Lady Liberty. This design was created for the United States Mint in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. This front-facing view of the full-length figure of Liberty was featured on the $20 Gold Double Eagle from 1907 to 1933 and has been on the Gold Eagle since 1986.
On the reverse face of 2023 American Gold Eagle Coins, you will find an American bald eagle. This new design was created in 2020 by Jennie Norris for the Gold Eagle Series and features the head of the eagle in left-profile relief. The level of detail in this design brings out the life-like appearance of the bird’s plumage.
These 2023 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle Coins are available in clamshell cards. These JM Bullion MintSealed cards have sealed plastic around the coin with the card enclosing the product. MintSealed coins are those JM Bullion hand-selects from US Mint Monster Boxes. These coins are the best of the batch and we check all tubes before selecting coins to ensure there has been no tampering with the items.
