For the first release, author Maya Angelou, physicist Sally Ride, Cherokee Chief Wilma Mankiller, suffrage leader Nina Otero-Warren, and actress Anna May Wong are featured.
Each 2022 American Women Quarter 5-Coin Set was produced by The Merrick Mint and will arrive to you in new condition. The set is comprised of 5 genuine U.S. quarters made from a nickel-copper alloy. Each coin will arrive in a protective acrylic capsule. Also included with your purchase are five display stands and a Certificate of Authenticity from the Mint.
The obverse of each coin in these 2022 Colorized American Women 5-Coin Sets features a portrait of President George Washington. This portrait debuted in 2022, replacing the classic left-facing design by John Flanagan. This new portrait was originally created in 1931 and is credited to sculptor Laura Gardin Fraser. There are also inscriptions on the obverse reading Liberty, In God We Trust, 2022.
On the reverse of 2022 Colorized Quarter 5-Coin Sets, there are various depictions of women over the course of American history. These designs have been rendered in full-color thanks to a proprietary process perfected at The Merrick Mint. All of the reverse designs also include inscriptions reading United States of America, E Pluribus Unum, and Quarter Dollar.
