The Gods of Olympus Series was renewed in 2020 with the release of a Zeus coin design. Based on the 2014-2015 collection that separately celebrated the gods and goddess of Olympus, the Perth Mint is back with the same designs from the original collection with a new range of gold and silver coins for investors and collectors. The new Gods of Olympus Series offers investors and collectors a total of five coins to choose from when buying silver and gold. The series includes four silver bullion coins and one gold bullion coin. The only gold coin in the series is a 1 oz gold specimen, while the silver coins include 5 oz antique, 5 oz BU, 1 oz antique, and 1 oz BU options.
All of the 2022 5 oz Tuvalu Gods of Olympus Hera Silver Coins available here are Brilliant Uncirculated specimens. The Perth Mint offers these coins with a protective plastic capsule for each specimen. This coin is one of three in the series that comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and its mintage is the third-lowest in the series behind the 5 oz antique and 1 oz gold BU coins.
On the obverse of 2022 Tuvalu Gods of Olympus Hera Silver Coins is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here in right-profile relief wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. This design was created for the Royal Mint of England in 1998 and featured on British coins as the fourth-generation effigy from 1998 to 2015.
The reverse side of the 2022 5 oz Tuvalu Hera Silver Coins comes with an image of Hera, the Queen of Olympus and wife to Zeus, the ruler of Olympus. Mount Olympus is the mythical home of the gods and goddesses of Greek mythology. Hera is shown in this design sitting on her throne in the Temple of Hera.
