Coin Highlights:
Each 2022 10 oz British Silver Tudor Beasts Lion Coin comes in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. This coin is the largest in the BU Series of Tudor Beasts and comes with either acrylic capsules for individual coins or boxes of 15 coins. The box has 15 coins that are all individually encapsulated. This release is the first BU coin in the new Tudor Beasts collection.
The Tudor Beasts Series focuses on the heraldic symbolism of the Tudor Dynasty. The Tudor monarchs controlled the throne of England from 1485 to 1603. During this period, there were three different Kings of England with two Queens of England. Though King Henry VII founded the dynasty, King Henry VIII left one of the biggest marks of the dynasty as his reign saw great change in England, and his three surviving children went on to sit on the throne after him.
The obverse of 2022 British Silver Tudor Beasts Lion Coins comes with a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here in right-profile relief at the age of 89 wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown. This design was created in 2015 by Jody Clark as the fifth-generation effigy of the Queen on British coins.
On the reverse side of the 2022 10 oz Silver Tudor Beasts Lion Coins is an image of the Lion of England. The oldest heraldic beast in English history, the Lion of England is shown here supporting the impaled arms of King Henry VIII and his third wife, Jane Seymour. Henry VIII’s wife Jane Seymour gave him his only surviving son who would later briefly rule as King Edward VI.
