In the past, releases from this series have been made to honor each branch of the United States military. On the reverse of the 2022 1 oz U.S. Mint Coast Guard Silver Medal are two iconic Coast Guard symbols, including the racing stripe mark and the life preserver ring. The emblem of the Coast Guard is included near the center of the reverse, and the values of the Coast Guard—honor, respect, and devotion to duty—encircle it.
