The Perth Mint revived one of its most popular collectible series in 2020. From 2014 to 2015, Perth Mint issued six designs honoring the most well-known gods and goddesses from the pantheon of Greek mythology. Originally available in one metal, finish, and weight, the Gods of Olympus returned in 2020 with two metals, two weights, and two finishes available for each design, for a total of five coins per release. Today, 2022 1 oz Tuvalu Gods of Olympus Hera Gold Coins are available to you online from JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
The new Gods of Olympus Series introduced in 2020 features the same designs used in the respective 2014 and 2015 collections, but the new program deviates from the style and weight of the previous coins. The 2014-2015 collection offered only 2 oz antique silver coins. The new series offers 1 oz gold BU, 1 oz silver BU, 5 oz silver BU, 5 oz antique silver, and 1 oz antique silver coins for investors and collectors.
All of the 2022 1 oz Tuvalu Gods of Olympus Hera Gold Coins are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The 1 oz gold BU coins are new with the release of this series and come only with protective acrylic capsules. The gold coins also come with a Certificate of Authenticity and boast the second-lowest mintage in the series behind only the 5 oz antique silver coin.
On the obverse side of these 2022 Tuvalu Gods of Olympus Hera Gold Coins is a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here in right-profile relief in the fourth-generation effigy from British currency. This design was created by Ian Rank-Broadley in 1998 and used on British coins through 2015. It remains in production on the coinage of various Commonwealth Nations.
The reverse face of 2022 1 oz Tuvalu Hera Gold Coins comes with an image of the Queen of Olympus. Hera is the wife of Zeus, ruler of Olympus, and is a powerful goddess in her own right. She is shown here seated on a throne with a lion to her right, a peacock to her left, and a lotus staff in her hand.
