An elaborately styled compass rose takes up much of the area of the Atlantic, and the same paisley and grid patterns are used to separate land and water. Both sides of the coin have a border that’s designed to look like a compass gauge, including degrees from 1 to 360 indicated with tick marks. The reverse includes an inscription in Latin that means save me and I’ll save you (or protect me and I’ll protect you). The phrase is meant to describe the symbiotic relationship humanity and Earth have.
