The new Tudor Beasts Series focuses on the prominent, well-known monarchs of the Tudor Dynasty in the late-15th century and the entirety of the 16th century. Now, 2022 1 oz British Gold Tudor Beasts Lion Coins are available to you for purchase online from JM Bullion.
Coin Highlights:
King Henry VII was the victor in the Wars of the Roses between the House of Lancaster and the House of York. This long-running war for control of the English throne came to an end when King Richard III from the House of York was killed in battle at the Battle of Bosworth Field in 1485. He died at the hands of troops led by Henry Tudor.
Following the war, Henry Tudor ascended the throne as King Henry VII and founded the House of Tudor. To legitimize his claim to the throne, he married Elizabeth of York. The Tudor Dynasty would go on to control the throne until the death of Queen Elizabeth I in 1603.
